Mother Nature's power

Saturday afternoon was sunny and beautiful at the lake - until Mother Nature showed her power. We watched the clouds across the lake and laughed at the fact that they were all passing us. Then an immediate drop in temp with concurrent gale force winds forced us to halt our volleyball game. Here, we watch as the ominous clouds turn direction and pass overhead.

A few hours later, the beach was beautiful again, if not hot.

The next morning, I had a beautiful drive back home at 5:30 a.m. . . .

Fourth picture down. Two of the coolest (and most blunt?) single chicks in Michigan. Not pictured: the two other coolest single chicks in Michigan. Kay isn't included in the count, but only because she's a Hoosier.

The atmospheric scientist says - Isn't it amazing how a cold air mass collides with a warm air mass, and all the warm air rises quickly, and the water in that rising air gets cold and condenses out as rain?? :)

Thanks for the professional analasis, Jason. You probably would've been amused at us standing there with our mouths hanging open watching the quick change. . .wish you would've been there!
